Why we need support
Our vehicles are decades old — and that is exactly what makes them so special. But keeping historic technology alive takes time, know-how and money. Major inspections, spare parts, restoration work: everything is in the hands of our members, who do it in their spare time.
With a donation you help keep our trains running — for families, school classes, nostalgia fans and everyone who wants to experience a piece of railway history on the Lower Rhine.
How to donate
Simply transfer your contribution to our association account:
Account holder: Historischer Schienenverkehr, Wesel IBAN: DE88 3565 0000 0000 6319 03 Reference: Spende
We are a recognised non-profit association in Germany. On request we will send you a donation receipt (Spendenquittung). Just send a short email with your postal address to info@hsw-wesel.de.
Current donation projects
Besides general donations to the association, we also run specific restoration projects on betterplace.org. You can find current projects right here on our website — or search for HSW Wesel on betterplace.
