St Nicholas Trips 2026
A nostalgic journey through Advent with St Nicholas
When the scent of mulled wine and hot chocolate drifts through the historic coaches and children’s eyes light up, the most wonderful time of the year begins at Historischer Schienenverkehr Wesel e.V.: the traditional St Nicholas trips. On the Advent weekends in December 2026, the association invites young and old on an atmospheric journey aboard the historic train. Lovingly restored coaches, a festive atmosphere and a visit from St Nicholas make the trips a special experience for the whole family. These popular special trips have been among the highlights of the season for years and bring true railway romance to the run-up to Christmas.
