On 14 November 2026 Historischer Schienenverkehr Wesel e.V. invites you on a very special trip: the popular ‘Kale Express’ (Grünkohl-Express). In the lovingly restored historic coaches, passengers experience the railway romance of times gone by while enjoying a traditional kale meal at the Altes Wasserwerk Wesel. The trip combines nostalgic railway flair, an autumn atmosphere and regional food culture into an exceptional day out on the Lower Rhine. Because of high demand, the association recommends booking early.
