On 13 September 2026 Historischer Schienenverkehr Wesel e.V. combines railway romance with living industrial heritage: on the nationwide Heritage Open Day (Tag des offenen Denkmals), the historic Weseler-Stadt-Express shuttles between the Rheinpromenade and the Altes Wasserwerk Wesel. Visitors can look forward to a nostalgic journey in lovingly restored historic coaches, combined with fascinating insights into a technical monument of times gone by. Whether as a family outing, for technology fans or as a nostalgic railway experience – these special trips offer a special day full of history, atmosphere and unique impressions.
